Big Bang BuffetBig Bang Buffet was founded in 1990 to provide venue to original, alternative and difficult works in Performance Art, Theatre, Spoken Word, Music, Poetry, Dance and Protest. Early founders and artists met during "The Spoken Word" a show produced by Big Bang Buffet that ran for over 113 weeks. BBB has presented over 70 different productions in over 30 MO/KAN venues including: The American Heartland, The Club Cabaret, All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, The Midland, Harlings Upstairs, Quality Hill Playhouse, The Hobbs Building and Lou Jane Temple's living room. Currently, productions take place at the Just Off Broadway Theater, 3051 Central, KCMO. While concentrating in live performance BBB has also produced works for television and radio. In 1994 BBB won a Silver Reel Award for The National Federation of Community Broadcasters for "The AIDS Radio Show," a program rebroadcast throughout the country.
