CrossCurrents Barn Dances

Featuring New England-Style Contra Dancing

CrossCurrents sponsors two great monthly dances!
The merriam barn dance on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Merriam Community Center, 5701 Merriam Drive, located just northwest of I-35 and Johnson Drive.  AND   The midtown barn dance on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Jack-o'-Lantern Ballroom, located on Westport Road & Main Street, in Kansas City, Mo.

This lively type of dancing is done to live fiddle-style music. Great exercise and good fun, it enjoys a wide popularity around the world, including right here in Kansas City! It only takes a few minutes and one simple lesson to learn the basics--then you can dance the night away! Admission: $6.00, (includes lesson!). Beginner's class starts at 7:00 PM; Danceing from 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Please wear clean, soft-soled shoes to protect the floor.
